Autoblog: Yes, the Genesis G70 is a Thorough-Bred Sport Sedan

Although it’s been less than a week since we got to feast our eyes on the Genesis G70 for the first time, the lucky dogs at Autoblog have already gotten their turn behind the wheel. Perhaps that’s what one gets for obsessively covering the auto industry. They approached the G70 with the same scrutiny, and discovered it’s not only a true sport sedan, but one its German competitors should be worried about.

When it arrives on our shores next spring, the G70 will come with the 365 horsepower V6 we mentioned in our last post. But class-leading power among its peers is just one of the G70’s many tricks. Put the car in sport mode, and it feels like a coiled spring ready to unleash fury. Which it does, thanks to quick shifting from an eight-speed automatic, excellent steering feedback, and great body control. Throw in a 4.7 second sprint to sixty, and the G70 bests the German competition handily.

Not only will there be a new Genesis sport sedan next year, but it will arguably best or match some of the most established competitors in the business. We don’t blame you for being enticed! To get the ball rolling early, contact our Round Rock, TX dealership to let us know your interest.
